Your coding adventure starts here! This summer, dive into the world of programming with Python Coding Program at TPS, where you'll learn to code, create exciting projects, and design your own games using Pygame. Whether you're brand new to coding or looking to expand your skills, this program will take you step by step through the fundamentals of Python—one of the world’s most popular programming languages.
This program is open to kids who are rising 6th graders to rising 9th graders. Children will start by mastering essential coding concepts, from data types to algorithms, before bringing their ideas to life with interactive programs like Mad Libs, Hangman, and number-guessing games. Then, they can level up their skills as they explore game design, learning how to create custom sprites, animate characters, and build real-world physics into their own 2D games. Along the way, they'll develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and even get a head start on advanced programming topics like object-oriented programming.
